Vivo Y50 review
Vivo Y50 is a mid-range smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. Vivo’s Y-series lineup pushes the specification for the affordable mid-range smartphones. The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole notch. On the rear side, the phone sports a 13MP quad-camera setup with EIS video stabilization. For performance, the Vivo Y50 depends on an optimized Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Display
Vivo Y50 is fitted with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. This FHD+(1080x2340px) panel comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display has a pixel density of 394PPI which may result in sharp visuals. Vivo Y50 comes with a punch-hole panel and has nearly 90% of screen to body ratio. Adding more, the display also has eye care mode feature to protect your eyes from harmful blue light.
Camera
Vivo Y50 has a quad rear camera setup which is followed by a 13MP primary sensor an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with 120 degrees field-of-view, and there are two 2MP’s of macro and a depth shooter. Vivo is popular for its camera phones and you can expect decent photographs with the combination of these lenses. For selfies, it sports a 16MP camera which also supports face lock. As far as the video recording is concerned, the rear shooters can shoot FHD 1080p videos @30fps. Also, the camera app has features like Super Night View, Professional Photo, PDAF, AR Shoot, Gesture Recognition, Voice Photo, Slow Lens, Selfie Screen Re-light, Dynamic Photo, HDR, Panorama, to better the camera shots.

Vivo Y50 runs on FuntouchOS10.0 based on Android 10. The phone has Qualcomm’s average Snapdragon 665 chipset with 8-performance cores. The background activities and graphic demands are handled by 8GB of RAM and Adreno610 GPU. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone. Useful sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, Compass, and Proximity are present on the phone. Vivo Y50 has ample 128GB of internal storage capacity and the phone comes with an extra-card slot to expand the storage capacity up to 256GB.
Battery
Vivo Y50 draws power from an ample 5,000mAh battery but supports no fast charge. Judging by the battery capacity, you can expect a day of power backup under average usage but without any fast charge support, it may take time to charge.
