TVS Apache RR 310 review
The new TVS Apache RR310 has always been one of the best-looking motorcycles in the segment. The striking design with its sharp lines and sporty body panels, give it a very aggressive styling. The new BS6 version of the motorcycle comes with the same fully-faired design, with bi-LED headlamps at the front, with faux ram-airThe side fairing on the Apache RR310 comes with sharp cuts and creases along with vents, which enhance cooling. There are also vents designed to remove the hot air from the engine away from the rider’s legs. It’s available in two colours: Titanium Black and Racing Red.
The Apache RR 310’s BS6-compliant 312.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor makes 34PS of power and 27.3Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission which gets a slipper clutch. That said, the engine runs on two different power maps that are available through four ride modes (Rain, Urban, Sport, Track). The first map, which is meant for Rain and Urban, restricts the power output to 28.5PS, while the second map used for Sport and Track unleashes the full 34PS. Same goes for torque — 25Nm and 27Nm.
The TVS Apache RR 310 uses the same suspension setup as before — an upside fork and a KYB-tuned rear monoshock. What’s changed though is its damping characteristics. A 300mm front petal disc with radial caliper and a 240mm rear petal disc bring the bike to halt. While the Apache RR 310 retains its dual-channel ABS setup, its sensitivity and intrusiveness vary according to the four riding modes.
TVS Apache RR 310 price Rs 2,72,331 (ex-showroom).
