The new Bajaj Dominar 250 specifications
Bajaj launched the second bike in the Dominar series, the Dominar 250, earlier this year.The Bajaj Dominar 250 features the same body work and styling as its elder sibling, the Dominar 400. It also gets the same LED illumination bits, twin barrel exhaust and bungee straps below the pillion seat. The backlit switchgear as well as the premium and sleek mirrors with aluminium stalks are also to be found.It’s available in two colours: red, black
Powering the Bajaj Dominar 250 is the KTM-sourced 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. It is tuned slightly differently for the Dominar 250 to suit the bike’s power cruiser characteristics. It generates 27PS and 23.5Nm, which is lower than the outputs on the KTM 250 Duke. According to Bajaj, the Dominar 250 has a 0-100kmph acceleration figure of 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 132kmph. You get a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-clutch
The Bajaj Dominar 250 shares its perimeter frame with the Dominar 400 and a couple of other Pulsars as well. Bajaj does offer a USD fork on the Dominar 250 but it is a slimmer 37mm unit and not the 43mm unit from the Dominar 400. The rear gas-charged preload-adjustable monoshock is affixed on a box-section swingarm as opposed to the stamped metal swingarm found on the Dominar 400. While you find disc brakes at both ends with a front radial brake caliper and dual-channel ABS as standard, the front rotor is a smaller 300mm unit.
