Nokia G20 review

Nokia G20 is an affordable smartphone under HMD Globals’ Nokia G-series. The phone brings a 48-MP quad-rear camera on a circular ring, a 6.5-inch HD+ teardrop notch with an 8MP selfie camera, and it is backed by a 5050mAh battery that lasts up to 3-days, claims Nokia.

Nokia G20 includes a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 720x1600px. The waterdrop notch display has narrow bezels that amount to more than 81% of the screen-to-body ratio. Besides, it has a pixel density of 269PPI in an aspect ratio of 20:9. Judging upon the display details, it might struggle to offer sharper pictures due to lower PPI.

Performance

Nokia G20 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core processor paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU that aims to improve the midrange gaming experience. Also, the phone runs on the Android 11 operating system with 4GB of RAM for handling its multitasking performance. Biometrics features included are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock.

The phone sports a 48MP quad rear camera on a circular module with an LED flash. Its main 48MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 is followed by a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and two 2MPs’ of a macro camera, and a depth sensor with autofocus. For selfies and video calls, it offers an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone offers various camera sensors that can benefit in capturing various shots like portraits, wider pictures, close-up pictures, etc.

Battery

The phone is backed by a 5,050mAh non-removable Li-Po battery that reserves for 3-days of juice, claims Nokia.
