The KTM RC 125 features
KTM has finally launched the much-awaited KTM RC 125 in India at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The design has been inspired by the KTM RC16, which is the company’s MotoGP machine.
The RC 125 is a fully faired motorcycle which gets the company’s steel trellis frame, upside down forks by WP and a triple clamp handlebar as well. It uses the same 124.7cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which makes 14.3 bhp of max power and 12 Nm of peak torque at 9250rpm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Braking performance comes from a 300 mm disc up at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. Suspension setup includes upside-down front forks and rear monoshock. Like the KTM 125 Duke, the RC 125 too gets a Bosch single-channel ABS and rear-lift mitigation (RLM) as standard. It has a ground clearance of 157 mm and has a weight of 154.2 kg.
Other features include projector headlamps accompanied by LED DRLs, turn indicators and tail lamp. It also gets the same step-seat design along with the fully-digital instrument console. KTM RC 125 is available in Orange and Black, White and Black.
KTM dealers across the country have started accepting official bookings for the RC 125. Booking amounts vary from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 depending on the dealership. Deliveries to start by the end of June.
