The all new Kia Seltos features
Kia’s SP Concept has morphed into an SUV that’s called the Seltos. It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and Tata Harrier. The Seltos offers a total of 9 variants and five powertrain options! loaded with features including a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connected to a Bose surround-sound system.
The Seltos comes with three engines: a set of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel along with a 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol motor. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine develops 115PS and 144Nm. The diesel engine develops 115PS and 250Nm while the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI motor churns out 140PS and 242Nm. The SUV will come with the choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox, CVT, a 6-speed torque converter as well as a first-in-segment 7-speed DCT.
The Seltos will come loaded with premium features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch HUD, reclining rear seats, automatic climate control and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. It also gets an air purifier, ventilated seats and a plethora of connected tech that goes by the name UVO Connect. The Kia Seltos will take on the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, and the MG Hector in India.
Kia Seltos prices start at Rs. 9.69 lakh for petrol and goes upto Rs. 16.99 lakh. The prices of Seltos diesel variants start at Rs. 9.99 lakh and the top-end diesel is priced at Rs. 16.99 lakh. Kia Seltos is available in 18 variants and 12 colours. Kia has listed the range-topping GTX+ variant of the Seltos with the diesel AT and petrol DCT combination. Priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, these are currently the range-topping variants of the SUV.
