DEVALA HILL STATION
Devala is a beautiful village located between Wayanad Hills & Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, Nilgiris. One of the main thing of this place is that it is less crowded as it is one of the unexplored parts of Nilgiris. This area is discovered as one of the places with the freshest air. We had to drive through Kozhikode – Nilambur – Gudalur Rd to reach this gorgeous village called Devala.
We stayed in devala resort a resort in the middle of tea plantations and surrounded by mountains. The view from the resort was excellent, and it also had a pool, However we were not allowed to leave the resort after 6 in the night till dawn due to wildlife activity. The main atraction of this place is trekking in Churalimala, we came to this place in a bus with fellow tourists who also came with the same intension we reached here by 7am.
After some paperworks about declarations and all we were all set up for this mission. Finally we started walking and the guide told us about Churalimala that it is situated in tamilnadu and about the view from up there and the history fo this place, we took about 30min to reach on top the terrain was uneven as we climbed we struggled to get on top. Finally we rached on top of Churalimala hill the view was amazing the sun was at the brightest wind was cool it was the best feeling at the time. We found different types of flowers and plants on our way up. About the view we could see some resorts, devala district, mallappuram district which was all covered in fog. After 30min of slipping and struggling journey we reached back at the resort to have breakfast the resort provided different options for us, it was delicious. After breakfast we went for a swim in the pool it was refreshing and peaceful.

- Flights- Kozhikode airport is the nearest almost 3hour drive to devala.but for international guests bangalore Airport will be easier which is a 6 hour drive to the resort.
